Terms

Last updated October 9, 2026

Homestead is not on sale yet. These terms apply from the day it goes on sale.

What you get

Homestead is sold on this site as a one-time purchase for $39.99 USD (plus any sales tax or VAT shown at checkout). There is no subscription, no account and no license key. Your purchase includes a personal license to use Homestead on the Macs you own or use, and the updates we release for version 1.

Refunds: 30 days, no questions

Email hello@greatwork.company within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No form to fill in and no reason needed. Include the email address you used at checkout so we can find the order. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.

License

• You may install and use Homestead on any Mac you personally own or use.
• Please don't share your download link or redistribute the app.
• Don't reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the app.
• Your home data is yours. Homestead keeps it on your Mac and never uploads it to us.

Downloads and updates

After you pay, you get a download link. You can get a fresh link any time at homesteadformac.com/get-the-app/recover with the email address you used at checkout. The app checks homesteadformac.com for updates and installs them when you agree.

Your home

Homestead controls real devices: locks, garage doors, thermostats and more. It sends your commands to Apple HomeKit, which passes them to your accessories. Whether a command works depends on HomeKit, your network and the accessory. Don't rely on Homestead as your only way to secure your home or as a safety system.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

No warranty

Homestead is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Homestead is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Who we are

Homestead is made by Great Work LLC, a Delaware company at 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709. Questions about these terms: hello@greatwork.company. Our privacy policy explains what we collect.
